Pulled Pork Mac ‘n Cheese Sandwich; Paired with beech wood Smoked Beer


This here is my creation. Actually it’s something I’ve had before at a fast food sandwich shop called Chachi’s (http://chachis.ca/sandwiches.html). Obviously it left an impression. It also reminded me of this beer I’ve had recently. It is a smoked beer brewed in Germany called Bamberger Rauchbier Urbock (http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/263/1324/), and has strong notes of sweet malty goodness and tastes a little like pork rinds. It also fills your mouth with what can only be described as campfire smoke!


The ingredients are simple: Pulled pork (slowly cooked pork shoulder in BBQ sauce), Mac ‘n Cheese (macaroni noodles cooked and stirred into a cheese sauce), and a bun of your choice. *Other additions include pickled hot peppers, sweet chili sauce, fruit chutney, coleslaw.


There you go! Me experiencing happiness with each bite and sip. It also really ties in with the beer because these two combined complement one another perfectly. What is even better is sharing this experience with a person you love. And yes, she approved. Loved it!
