This is a tried and trusted recipe for the whole family. What a great way to snack nutritiously without compromising taste. Add some pineapple chunks to make it more tropical, or substitute the ice-cubes with frozen banana. Enjoy!
Kale + Fruit Smoothie
- 1 cup packed baby kale leaves
- Juice of 1 orange
- 1/2 a ripe banana
- 1/4 of a sweet apple (ambrosia, fuji, gala)
- 4 ice cubes
Starting with the kale, place all the ingredients in a blender and whizz until completely liquified into a beautiful green-coloured drink. You can add a few tablespoons of cold water to keep thing moving.
Serve and enjoy, or pack it up in a to-go mug for a stroll around the town.
This recipe serves 1, but can easily be adjusted by doubling or tripling the ingredients.
